The project

SolidarityInsertion

Created in 2020 by committed entrepreneurs, Bureaux du Cœur develops the use of business premises as individual emergency accommodation for people in precarious situations, at night and at weekends. The aim? Accommodate a person for 3 to 6 months to help them integrate into society.

Solution

Offices are occupied only 30% of the time. At night and at weekends, they are empty. Yet they are often heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer.

On the other side, 300,000 people sleep outside in France.

What if companies could help reintegrate someone who has lost everything?

Les Bureaux du Coeur is a bridge between these two realities: the association ensures that offices are offices during the day and, at night and weekends, a place of welcome for a person in a street situation, whom we call a "guest.e".

The term guest is not chosen at random. For the host company will welcome him or her and provide a small kitchen, a shower and a bed, which may be in a meeting room, an office or even a siesta room. Each case is specific and everything is possible.

Luc, 23, was sleeping in his car while he had a job. Sabine had to leave her home because of domestic violence. Thanks to their support, they found refuge and stability in the office of a company in their town, and got back on the road to a normal life.

The association is present in France, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal.

The money will be used for

Donations will enable us to recruit permanent staff to canvass new host companies, finance any fittings and furnishings at guests' homes, the guarantee fund in the event of damage to one of the hosts, welcome kits (bedding, kitchen items, etc.) offered to guests and the several support programs set up on a case-by-case basis.

By donating to the Bureaux du Cœur, you enable them to:

- set up new welcome centers;

- provide their guests with the best possible support in their social reintegration;

- set up in new European cities (already 28 cities including Paris, Brussels, Lisbon and Barcelona);

- support a world with less inequality;

- pass on a little (or even a lot) of love to people who really need it.
