Emmaüs Défi's primary objective is to combat precariousness and social and/or professional exclusion, and to enable everyone to regain their dignity and their place in society through social and professional reintegration. The activities of Emmaüs Défi's integration projects focus mainly on collecting, sorting and recycling donated items.

Solution
Emmaüs Défi is an association with a social integration project whose main activity is the collection, sorting and recycling of donated objects. Its mission is to help people in very precarious situations to find a lasting way out of this situation through these activities.
The association is founded on these 3 principles: everyone can work, access to a job is an effective means of breaking the spiral of exclusion, and commitment to others is a source of self-esteem.
The only requirement to be hired in the integration worksite is the desire to work and to be accompanied. Access to a job that adapts to the individual, complemented by support for the person, is the essential lever of the action.

A new electric truck at Emmaüs Défi!
Dear difteurs,
Our association is delighted to announce the arrival of our first electric truck, one step closer to more responsible, environmentally-friendly logistics! 🌱
This new equipment represents the start of a new adventure for our operational teams. Indeed, all the integration employees on the logistics team now have the opportunity to work with a new truck, enhancing the value of their work and increasing the chances of increasing their skillsthanks to new equipment adapted to their activities. 💪
This electric truck also represents a new chapter for us, thanks to a greener logistics fleet, for a circular and sustainable consumption and economy right down to our collection methods. ♻️

The Amistocks, an exceptional year of fundraising and solidarity!

In 2024, the Amistock network continued its development with striking results, strengthening our social and environmental impact. ♻
But who are the Amistocks?
The Amistock network is a project driven by our association to facilitate donation by multiplying access points and ensuring local collection, the key to encouraging more citizens to participate in more responsible consumption. 🤝
Today, les Amistocks, there are 69 permanent drop-off points in public places (shops, town halls, ...) and private spaces (companies accessible only to employees) and 12 Parisian Solidarity Collections in partnership with the City of Paris, Refashion and Ecomaison.
But that's not all!
The Amistock network also includes one-off collections (every 2 weeks to 1 month) organized at our 50 partners, which enabled us to carry out902 collections in 2024. This represents 42.5 tons of objects reused by our association! 💪
Finally, the Amistock project drives local commitment and awareness.
During the collections, educational actions were offered to donors to raise awareness of the challenges of reuse. In 2024, the Amistocks also took part in events to raise awareness of sorting and the circular economy, such as the Tri Mobile and Refashion challenges.

Why we love it?

Emmaüs Défi is committed to offering solutions that enable homeless people to reintegrate into the world of work at their own pace, all by collecting and recycling objects: the perfect project to accelerate the social and ecological transition.
Successful accompaniment isn't just about someone finding a job. The key is to listen, to make them feel that you believe in them, and not to pass judgment.
