Support Tombée du Nid, a solidarity network for caregivers
The project
HandicapInclusion
In France, almost 350,000 families are raising a disabled child. They face social isolation, complex administrative procedures and a heavy daily burden of care. Their situation is often precarious: 1 in 4 households lives below the poverty line, the risk of depression increases by 60%, that of divorce by 50%, and the absence of respite solutions exacerbates parental exhaustion (DREES study, 2020).

Solution
The Tombée du Nid association supports families of disabled children, whatever the disability, from the child's arrival through to his or her adult life project. Thanks to "Cœur du Nid", a local self-help platform, they can ask for help and advice from trained volunteers, or exchange ideas with other families. This community of solidarity provides support, mutual aid and respite for caregivers
Use of the money
Donations will support connections between volunteers and families, ensuring a sustainable response to their needs and personalized support. They will also be used to train volunteers with updated modules and resources, to open 3 new regions in France to strengthen our presence, particularly in rural areas, and to organize times of conviviality between families experiencing similar situations.

Thank you for all your hard work! It's really an innovative application that helps people get together and help each other. The volunteer's help has given us a bit of lightness in our daily lives! We now have a little more time for ourselves, and that's priceless!
