Solution
The ACTION ENFANCE Foundation created the AGILE scheme in 2022. It is designed to offer respite stays to children and teenagers hosted in our Villages.
Concretely, 3 family educators take 3 children and/or teenagers to live for 8 to 10 days in the countryside, camping, on board a van or in a tent.
The aim of this project is to enable them to set up soothing spaces outside the walls of their Villages, meetings with people who are not linked to their placement, novel moments of sharing between themselves and with other people.
The expected benefit is a rejuvenation that includes traveling, leaving, discovering new horizons and reconnecting with nature.
AGILE corresponds to a real need. Village educational teams sometimes find themselves in difficulty when faced with children and teenagers who show signs of malaise, jeopardizing the balance of a household and the educational work carried out for and around them. A break in rhythm then proves necessary.
Since its creation, 51 children and teenagers aged 9 to 17 have benefited from AGILE stays. In Berry, Auvergne, Brittany, they have been able to try out new experiences such as milking goats, making cuttings, lending assistance to the farmers who receive them, but also hiking, walking, horseback riding, canoeing. They also experience life in a group, taking the initiative for shopping, meals, the day's activities....
In 2025, the aim is to run at least 32 stays and take care of 80 children.
The money will be used for
This scheme is 100% funded thanks to the generosity of our donors.
Each stay costs around €4,000 per child.
Educational support enables us to rent accommodation, motorhomes and equipment.
The operating budget is used to finance:
- staff premises,
- related administrative costs,
- travel and food during stays.
The educational team is made up of:
- 1 scheme manager,
- 3 family educators,
- 1 psychologist
- 1 partner referent.

1 day of respite during a stay = 130 €
The project is waiting for its first donation!
