La Fresque des Cybercitoyens

The project

EducationChildhood
La Fresque des Cybercitoyens is a fun, collaborative educational game designed to raise awareness of digital security and responsible online behavior among secondary school students. In addition to the game, the program offers a complete educational program, integrated into the school curriculum, which trains and equips teachers to meet the challenges of digital citizenship.

Solution

La Fresque des Cybercitoyens is played out in two stages: a collaborative quiz on key themes (cyberbullying, disinformation, passwords, privacy...) and a cyberattack simulation to anchor knowledge. The workshop is integrated into the school curriculum, and is accompanied by a training course for teachers. Designed to last an average of 5 years, its disconnected format encourages exchange between students and teachers.

Use of the money

Donations will be used to fully equip the 2,180 French middle schools not yet equipped: 3 boxes of games will be sent, teachers will be trained and support will be provided to run the sessions with pupils. The average cost of equipping a middle school is €80.
Donations will also be used to deploy the device in extracurricular educational structures, intensify educator training and improve content and pedagogy.
If I had to sum up what makes this project so successful, I'd say: listening, respect and the pursuit of a common goal. The students love these play-based work sessions, and they have a real impact: we help them to be better protected and more seasoned.
