Solution
Telemaque youngsters are selected from 5th grade onwards for their academic aptitude and fragile socio-economic situation. It may happen that a young person encounters difficulties at school, however for a young person from a modest background it will be more difficult to overcome them due to family and economic factors. For example, a young person with at least one parent who is an executive or self-employed or who has a diploma is less likely to leave school without a diploma if he or she has the same characteristics.
Individualized follow-up of young people enables Télémaque to spot weaknesses in core subjects and thus prevent pre-school dropout situations by setting up tutoring courses. Every year, 150 Télémaque high-school students from modest backgrounds who are pre-dropout benefit from tutoring to stay on course for success.
