Solution
In 2018, the OECD ranked France as the most unequal country in Europe when it comes to education, with young people's social origins weighing heavily on their educational and career paths, and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds disappearing as they progress through higher education.
Thus, Télémaque, a pioneering mentoring association, is responding to this social issue in France by creating the conditions for greater social equity in access to professional and personal success for motivated young people from fragile territories. The program takes effect from 5th grade through to the final year of high school, and is built around 4 levers: socio-cultural openness, discovery of the business world, building self-confidence and academic perseverance.

Young Telemachus at the heart of the Olympic Flame festivities
Wednesday May 8, 15 godchildren and 11 mentors took part in the nautical parade celebrating the arrival of the Olympic flame aboard the Belem.
The participation of our godchildren and mentors in today's celebration of the Olympic spirit testifies to thevalues of sharing, fraternity and optimism that unite us.
Yassmina, Télémaque godchild, shares her enthusiasm: "It was perfect, the Belem, the ride to join it. I learned a lot thanks to this day. It's the second time I've been able to go on a boat thanks to Télémaque. The association gives me a lot on a social level. We're surrounded by people who help us with our projects and at school."
Isabelle Mauriès, PACA regional manager, enthusiastically shares, "To favor the socio-cultural openness of our godchildren and offer them unique experiences, we make the most of the opportunity to collaborate with key City partners such as the Société Nautique de Marseille and the Comité Unicef Alpes Provence, both of whom we would like to thank warmly. This May 8 parade, a once-in-a-lifetime moment, will once again foster encounters and build bridges."
Congratulations to all the participants for this memorable experience, and a big thank you to everyone who contributes to our mission of realizing the potential of young people. Together, we're shaping the future!
