Solution
It's at the crucial moment of leaving a rehabilitation center that Comme les Autres steps in.
The association offers to accompany people as soon as they leave the center, to continue the work initiated by it and thus limit as much as possible the difficult period that is the transition between these two environments. The aim is to enable these people to bounce back quickly towards a fulfilled life.
The social support offered covers all aspects of the life of a person who becomes disabled after an accident: returning home, mobility, employment, social life, access to rights, self-esteem... The association's social workers, who co-construct the individual support with each beneficiary, act as facilitators and coordinators of reconstruction paths.

Circus activity with the Île de France branch!
Charres difteurs,
For the first time, we tried a circus activity with our beneficiaries from the Île de France branch!
Cap on the big top in Chevilly-Larue (an opportunity for our beneficiaries to see that metro line 14 is wheelchair accessible, a fact rare enough to be highlighted!).
As usual, our team was a mix of disabled and able-bodied people, and most of them didn't know each other.
The program included warm-up exercises, an opportunity to establish a climate of trust between participants and to awaken the body to movement, followed by a passage on the various apparatus: a trapeze, two aerial fabrics, and a handstand.
This was an opportunity to work together on transfers, mobility, balance, and team spirit, as some very fine duos were formed on each apparatus.
At the end, in 15 minutes, we put on a staging with a grouped frozen start that resembled a pyramid. Then, each participant had to move to move from the pyramid.
A superb experience that we'll surely repeat! 🎪
A big thank you for your invaluable support and donations.

Video project on the importance of sport
Sport is a central element in the reconstruction of a person who has become motorically disabled. It helps to maintain good health, regain self-confidence, set new goals, create social links and (re)become independent. We wanted to launch this video capsule project to convey the importance of sport and its practice!
The five themes covered:
- Sport for independence
- Sport for ageing well
- Sport for mental health
- Sport to change attitudes
- Sport to make your dreams come true (hello Paralympics!)
To be seen (and seen again), whether you're concerned by disability or not.

Why we love it?
This year of Olympic and Paralympic Games gives us the opportunity to think in particular about the disabled people who Comme les Autres helps to regain their self-confidence and their taste for life.
Let's work together to change the way we look at disability and help people who have become disabled to bounce back.
