Improving access to healthcare in priority neighborhoods

Banlieues Santé at the Village Santé des Rosiers in Marseille update

Banlieues Santé at the Village Santé des Rosiers in Marseille

Dear Difteur-ses,

🎯 Banlieues Santé at Village Santé des Rosiers 2025: a collective commitment to women's and children's health

On April 23 and 24, 2025, Banlieues Santé was honored to collaborate with the CRES Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur on setting up the Village Santé organized by the Ville de Marseille, around an essential event dedicated to women's and children's health, in the heart of the Rosiers district in the 14th arrondissement.

This event brought together numerous institutional and associative players with a common objective: to reduce inequalities in access to healthcare and bring health services closer to residents.

Our contribution at Banlieues Santé:
✅ Raising awareness of women's health issues
✅ Socio-aesthetics workshops
✅ Distribution of hygiene kits
✅ Referral to partner healthcare structures

🙏 Thanks to the many residents who came, to our Health Ambassadors who welcomed and accompanied beneficiaries alongside Ville de Marseille, and to all our partners.

And a big THANK YOU to you for your support!

Opening of our new health center in Marseille! update

Opening of our new health center in Marseille!

Dear Difteur-ses,

We are delighted to announce the inauguration of the Fronton, on April 2: a former industrial building reinvented as a vibrant place to live, in the heart of Marseille's quartiers Nord, with the support of Euroméditerranée.

Le Fronton, now an intergenerational space, offers a multitude of cultural, social activities around health: a solidarity cafeteria, various workshops and activities for residents, a coworking space, as well as screening and prevention activities.
Everyone can take advantage of the café area, workshops, gentle gym classes, FLE, tutoring, gardening, and shared meals, creating a real place for meeting and exchange.

The inauguration was a moment of celebration, with residents, children and seniors taking part in outdoor games and activities.
This place, designed to meet the needs of the community, is the fruit of a participatory approach with residents. Through this initiative, Banlieues Santé strengthens social ties and promotes a holistic approach to health.

A grateful thank you for your support!

Charres difteurs,

This week, in the chronique RTL x La France s'engage, focus on Banlieues Santé, lauréat 2022. Along with its founder, Abdelaali EL BADAOUI, the association is taking concrete action to reduce these inequalities in access to healthcare.

Two complementary types of action to achieve this objective:
"Fast sugars": immediate and effective actions, such as the "Plus belle la vue" program, which enables people in difficulty to obtain an ophthalmological consultation and glasses very quickly.
✅ Les "sucres lents": in-depth initiatives, such as Le Café des Femmes, a place for living and health designed with and for women, promoting a participative approach between carers and cared-for.

It all starts with Abdelaali's story. Severely burned as a child, he was treated thanks to an accessible healthcare system. After becoming a nurse, he became aware of the inequalities in access to healthcare and the need to take action. It was this experience that convinced him to create an organization capable of combating these inequalities, by providing concrete, sustainable solutions accessible to all.

Banlieues Santé is not limited to priority urban districts; the association also acts in rural areas, where access to healthcare is a real challenge.

💬 For Abdelaali, "it's very important to popularize this term and for people to be able to take control of their health, on their own."

A big thank you to you, dear donors, for your invaluable support and donations ✨
