Charres difteurs,
This week, in the chronique RTL x La France s'engage, focus on Banlieues Santé, lauréat 2022. Along with its founder, Abdelaali EL BADAOUI, the association is taking concrete action to reduce these inequalities in access to healthcare.
Two complementary types of action to achieve this objective:
✅ "Fast sugars": immediate and effective actions, such as the "Plus belle la vue" program, which enables people in difficulty to obtain an ophthalmological consultation and glasses very quickly.
✅ Les "sucres lents": in-depth initiatives, such as Le Café des Femmes, a place for living and health designed with and for women, promoting a participative approach between carers and cared-for.
It all starts with Abdelaali's story. Severely burned as a child, he was treated thanks to an accessible healthcare system. After becoming a nurse, he became aware of the inequalities in access to healthcare and the need to take action. It was this experience that convinced him to create an organization capable of combating these inequalities, by providing concrete, sustainable solutions accessible to all.
Banlieues Santé is not limited to priority urban districts; the association also acts in rural areas, where access to healthcare is a real challenge.
💬 For Abdelaali, "it's very important to popularize this term and for people to be able to take control of their health, on their own."
A big thank you to you, dear donors, for your invaluable support and donations ✨
