Creating solutions for people with disabilities

"There's no such thing as a commercially available product!" This is one of the most common reasons why project owners come to see us. This was the case for Sandy, who was equipped with a bone conduction implant system. The model she was using was attached to a headband, which suited her perfectly. When she had to change her device after a few years, the attachment system had evolved. It's now a headband, which doesn't suit her. Thanks to the support of the difteurs and difteuses, we therefore designed a 3D-printed bracket with her to attach her new hearing aid to her headband, as no such bracket exists commercially! 👉 Documentation is available here and still in open source 👈

Today we present a new project made possible by the generosity of difteurs and difteuses: the zipper helper! Or how to zip up your jacket with just one hand 👌 . This was the problem encountered by Élodie, who pushed open the doors of our workshop. 🪡 Scratch, thread, a big needle, two drawing clips and...Tada!" Elodie has a scratch that surrounds her right thigh into which a drawing clip is sewn. The clip is used to catch the bottom of the jacket fastening. Élodie then uses her functional hand to assemble the zipper. And that's all there is to it! 👉 Find the full project documentation here 👈
