The project

FoodYouth
The diet of a child's first 1,000 days plays a key role in his or her future health. Yet, between 2019 and 2021, childhood obesity has doubled, with 10% of children overweight. To reverse these trends, the Programme Malin helps families with budget constraints to improve the diet of their children under 3. It is France's leading association for infants, with over 140,000 children supported by 2024.

Solution

The Program supports families with:
- The sharing of advice to apply on a daily basis: recipes, tips... ideas and
simple messages to follow every day for a balanced diet
adapted to baby's age,
- Budget support, with discounts on adapted, high-quality baby
and family products selected by pediatricians (infant milk,
potties, vegetables, poultry, ..) available in all supermarkets in France and online.

News

Use of the money

- To double the number of children supported from 30% (already enrolled) to 60% of children in precarious situations in France,
- To have even greater impact by personalizing advice to families supported,
- To further relieve families' budgets by increasing budget support, and the categories of products they need.
- Enable all families to be able to make the choice of sustainable food by also facilitating access to organic, local products etc.
Why we love it?

We all know the old adage "You are what you eat". So it's essential to eat well from an early age, whatever your household income. This is the mission that Programme Malin pursues with determination and ambition!

The nutrition of families and young children is a public health issue. Numerous studies show that prevention through appropriate and early nutrition, during the first 1,000 days of life, contributes to reducing the prevalence of these chronic non-transmissible diseases.
