Challenge

International solidarityEducation
The Grazie Endowment Fund works with the Abc Domino association in the Tuléar region of southwest Madagascar. This region is ranked by the International Monetary Fund as the 4th poorest country in the world. In this particularly poor and isolated province, deserted by international organizations, 47% of children under 5 suffer from chronic malnutrition and access to school is a daily challenge for all children.

Solution

Since 2010, the Grazie Endowment Fund has been involved in the construction of 6 elementary school, 2 middle schools and 1 high school, providing schooling for 3,700 children every year with its long-standing partner Abc Domino. The Grazie Endowment Fund also supports the provisioning of 6 canteens, ensuring a daily meal for pupils, sometimes the only one of the day. In 2022, a computer school opened its doors to welcome the first baccalaureate graduates. In 2024, a third middle school opened its doors to children from southern schools.

Dear difteurs,

The Secoles Abc Domino, supported by the Grazie Endowment Fund, organized the very first reading competition for CM1 and CM2 students! 📖🏅

32 finalists from the 6 elementary school gathered at the Beheloka and Efoetse libraries for a memorable event.

Such was the enthusiasm of pupils and teachers that the competition will be repeated every year.

A big thank you to you for your invaluable support!

L'HEURE DU BILAN by Chloé Freoa
Each year, we have the pleasure and responsibility of presenting you with an assessment of our actions. It's an opportunity to take stock, relive the highlights of the past year and look to the future.

What we remember is that no year goes by without learning. We learn from our partners, from the projects we support and from the people we meet.

Since 2009, the Merci collective adventure - which became Grazie - has exceeded our expectations.

Thanks to our support, thousands of children today go to school in Madagascar, with our long-standing partner Abc domino.

In Essonne, a farm feeds hundreds of families while guaranteeing fair remuneration for its farmers.

All over France, ecological projects are springing up, bringing a breath of fresh air and a sustainable future to our countryside.

Since 2019, our Horizon project has been sowing the seeds of a profound transformation of our territories, driven by the talent and resilience of refugee people. This project embodies our conviction that every initiative, no matter how humble, can become a driving force for lasting change.

This review is much more than a simple retrospective. It is proof that our combined efforts really can transform lives, offer a better future and build a fairer world.

As we enter this new school year with a new name, a team as determined as ever. Your support is more precious than ever.
Every donation, every gesture counts.

Thank you for being part of this human and united adventure.

The money will be used for

With €15,000, the Grazie Endowment Fund provides full school fees for 100 children for a year in Madagascar. It also provides each child with a daily meal. This sum includes school fees, teachers' salaries, building maintenance, canteen for one year, animation of vegetable gardens, sewing workshops and libraries, as well as taking charge of new works such as new classrooms.

100% of donations received are used in full for the projects. Operating costs are covered by the administrators.

Why we love it?

Marie-France and Bernard Cohen are entrepreneurs for whom philanthropy has always been a matter of course: after the success of the Bonpoint brand, they created the Merci concept store, the profits from which are donated to the eponymous endowment fund set up to finance and support solidarity projects on a regular, long-term basis. In 2013, they donated the entire proceeds from the sale of Merci to this fund, and since then they have continued the family adventure of solidarity.
