Dear Difteurs and Difteuses,Recently, Emmaüs Défi had the pleasure of taking part in the very first edition of the "Faire Village" festival, a participatory event organized within Césure. For four days, this hybrid venue was transformed into a veritable laboratory of ideas, bringing together artists, architects, craftspeople, social and solidarity economy structures and associations around a common ambition:imagining new ways of living together. Emmaüs Défi proposed a creative and committed program, consistent with its values of reuse and solidarity. The high point of this participation: the collective production of a fresco designed entirely from second-hand materials. Dear Difteurs and Difteuses,Because we know you like to hear from us, we'd like to inform you that the team at la Banque Solidaire de l'Équipement, is very pleased to announce that this month it passed the milestone of 40,000 beneficiary households, supported since 2013 within its five branches. As a reminder, the Banque Solidaire de l'Équipement (BSE) is a scheme launched by Emmaüs Défi to combat poor housing, particularly situations of "camping" within the home, caused by a lack of means to equip oneself with essential furniture and equipment.BSE beneficiaries are welcomed into a dedicated space, designed as a show flat, where they can choose their equipment atsolidarity prices, before receiving it directly delivered to their home.The BSE operates entirely thanks to donations of unsold goods from partner companies: end-of-series products, unsold goods or customer returns, which thus find a second life in the service of solidarity. Dear Difteur-ses,Tomorrow will mark the first month since our long-awaited annual event,Super Christmas. This day, placed under the sign of conviviality and solidarity, was a real success. Thanks to your unstinting support, we were able to welcome almost 1,500 visitors, who left with numerous gifts ready to make people happy!"On December 6, we were thus delighted to be accompanied by a brass band, to offer various activities for children and to see hundreds of people in awe at the idea of being able to make their Christmas gifts. Dear Difteur-ses,Following the Venelle fashion show, we heard that people wanted to be able to buy products and garments created from scratch by the Recréateurs workshop in a physical location. 🎉 Good news: the workshop's unique pieces are now available for sale in the Christmas pop-up at Studio Emmaüs, located at 48 rue de la Folie Méricourt, in Paris's 11th arrondissement. The perfect opportunity to come and support responsible creation this holiday season 🤩

Created in 2012 by Emmaüs Défi, this scheme aims to help households accessing their first home to equip themselves with low-cost furniture. This is a mission that makes a huge amount of sense to us, as it combines solidarity, inclusion and the circular economy. Concretely, how does it work? We collect product donations from our partner companies (unsold items, customer returns, display models), which we then receive and store in our 3,000 m² warehouse in Rungis. These items of equipment are then offered to beneficiaries in show apartments. 😊 And now, a few key figures:- At Lille's BSE, over 2,000 households have already been supported since 2020.- In total, over 40,000 people have been able to benefit from this essential support as they settle into their new homes.

To counter the summer heat, Emmaüs Défi has decided to innovate and offer a breath of fresh air to employees in integration! 🛠️ A lick of paint... and much more than a lick of hand! In recent weeks, nearly 40 employees from an Emmaüs Défi partner company have come to renovate our common areas at the Riquet ressourcerie: break room, coffee corner and rest room. A skills sponsorship operation organized to improve the daily lives of our employees on integration schemes. Dear difteur.ses,🙌 A few years ago, Emmaüs Défi wanted to get more closely involved with young people, particularly in response to Covid and the growing precariousness of this public. Dear Difteur-ses, Seydou joined Emmaüs Défi as part of his reintegration path after a few professional experiences in the "classic" world of work. Today, Seydou is part of the sales team, as a multi-skilled salesperson, in our boutiques. During his time at Emmaüs Défi, Seydou learns to receive customers, advise them, man the cash register, tidy shelves, restock and pricer items. All these skills, Seydou would like to apply in his future professional experience. His wish?To be hired in a store and continue his career path in sales and customer advice. Between training, access to housing and new contracts, their paths continue to progress. 🌟 📍 Training side - Yemane will be starting training at Refugee Food as a Commis de Cuisine. - Hussein and Ugoji are training for the Certificat d'aptitude à la conduite en sécurité 1, 3 et 5 (Caces). - Saief has completed a period of work experience (PMSMP) at Lemon Tri as a Driver. 🏡 Housing side - Rafiq has secured accommodation in Champigny-sur-Marne. - Lelise is moving to Éragny. - Emmanuel signed his rental lease with 3F for independent housing on March 19. - Stanka will move into a boarding house in early April in the 10th arrondissement. - Mihali will join an accommodation and social reintegration center (CHRS) at the Péniche du Cœur next week. 💪Côté sorties professionnelles - Daher completed a PMSMP at Marguerite as a Logistics Agent. Dear Difteur-ses,📢 At Emmaüs Défi, every week, some of the textile donations that cannot be resold are sorted by the employees of Premières Heures en Chantier, accompanied by their specialized educator.These clothes are then redistributed to associations such as Utopia 56, La Chorba or Petits Dej' d'Éole, which help homeless people. We also mobilize to support other associations in the Emmaüs Movement or to respond to causes that touch us.💡 Thus, in 2024, we donated : - 12 tons of textiles, 4 tons of books and toys to associations.- 1,130 items of clothing and footwear distributed to unaccompanied minors via Emmaüs Campüs.- 275 pallets of furniture redistributed by BSE to equip homes in great need.- €14,470 in financial donations to support Mayotte after cyclone Chido and to contribute to the funeral expenses of an employee on integration.This solidarity and commitment would be impossible your help. 🙌 A big thank you to you!

Dear Difteers, This Saturday, March 8, 2025 was a day especially dedicated to women's rights. At Emmaüs Défi, supporting women in precarious situations is at the heart of our actions. Each of them faces unique challenges, and we do everything we can to offer them tailored, sustainable solutions. 🏡 At Banque Solidaire de l'Équipement: 39% of supported households are single-parent families, 91% of whom are female heads of household. 63% of beneficiaries are women. 👩‍🔧 On our integration sites: 37% of employees on integration projects are women, supported towards a return to employment and autonomy. 📚 Enhanced access to training : In 2024, 20,114 hours of training were provided, enabling many women to acquire new skills and stabilize their professional and personal situation. Thanks to tailored training and personalized support, they are regaining confidence and prospects for the future. Dear difteurs,✨ As we enter 2025, all the Emmaüs Défi teams would like to look back on 2024 with you! ✨ The past year has been a real success for our integration worksite, which has enabled 310 employees in integration to reconnect with the world of work and move a little further away from extreme precariousness. During their time with our association, all employees on integration schemes have benefited from training. In 2024, a total of 14,493 hours of training were provided by employees and 45 employees were able to take part in vocational training via PMSMPs(periods of work experience) at various partner companies. These professionalization periods enable all employee beneficiaries to enhance their skills and learn from company employees. 💪 Finally, we have seen many employees on integration leave our association to continue their path towards reintegration, with 52% of them subsequently finding sustainable employment (+27% compared with 2023). 👏 The year 2024 has been a success for our association and for all our teams who work daily with employees in integration. ✨ This success is also due to our partners who support us, throughout the year, in accompanying the most excluded people. Dear difteurs, In France, nearly 4 million people find themselves in a situation of poor housing and 12 million are suffering the consequences of a worsening crisis. Behind all these figures are families, children and isolated individuals who, every day, live in unworthy conditions. 🏡Faced with this observation, Emmaüs Défi decided to take action and create, in 2012, a new scheme: La Banque Solidaire de l'Equipement (BSE). This is aimed at households accessing permanent housing for the first time after years marked by precariousness. The people welcomed there can equip themselves with new goods at a very low cost. Referred by social partners, then guided and advised by our teams, they thus benefit from new equipment donated by our corporate partners. 🤝Every year, the BSE collects and recovers new or second-hand equipment to give it a second life, while meeting urgent needs. In 2024, the BSE was able to support 2,600 households with household appliances and everyday essentials. 👨‍👨‍👧‍👧 But like every battle, that of precarious housing can't be won alone! Dear difteurs,In 2024, the Amistock network continued its development with striking results, strengthening our social and environmental impact. ♻But who are the Amistocks?The Amistock network is a project driven by our association to facilitate donation by multiplying access points and ensuring local collection, the key to encouraging more citizens to participate in more responsible consumption. 🤝Today, les Amistocks, there are 69 permanent drop-off points in public places (shops, town halls, ...) and private spaces (companies accessible only to employees) and 12 Parisian Solidarity Collections in partnership with the City of Paris, Refashion and Ecomaison. But that's not all! The Amistock network also includes one-off collections (every 2 weeks to 1 month) organized at our 50 partners, which enabled us to carry out902 collections in 2024. This represents 42.5 tons of objects reused by our association! 💪Finally, the Amistock project drives local commitment and awareness. During the collections, educational actions were offered to donors to raise awareness of the challenges of reuse. In 2024, the Amistocks also took part in events to raise awareness of sorting and the circular economy, such as the Tri Mobile and Refashion challenges. ✨ We thank you very much for your difts, which demonstrate a strong commitment to solidarity that is essential to our projects. Dear difteurs,On December 7, our ressourcerie boutique de Riquet was decked out in magic to welcome the 2024 edition of Super Noël. 🎄 A memorable day that combined solidarity, eco-responsibility and conviviality! This year again, we were able to count on all our partners for an exceptional mobilization 💪 More than 5 tons of toys and games recovered from companies that organized in-house collections.118 employee volunteers mobilized via skills sponsorship for 16 sorting sessions between October and December, carefully preparing festive toys and textiles.On D-day, 71 volunteers joined Emmaüs Défi teams to accompany families in their purchases and guarantee the success of the event.On the stalls, beneficiaries were able to find a unique selection of new and second-hand toys, festive textiles and second-hand knick-knacks and crockery! Treasures for a united Christmas 🎉 Finally, entertainment, for young and old, was also organized. ✨Beneficiaries had access to a photo booth with Santa Claus, a face-painting and drawing stand, and a screen-printing workshop to personalize textiles. Finally, coffee and hot chocolate were distributed throughout the day. In the course of her career, she has discovered different trades such as sales, sorting and logistics. These clothes then find a second life by being redistributed to homeless people, thanks to partner associations such as: Le Vestiaire St Bernard (Paris 18),Les Petits Dej' d'Eole (Paris 19),Le Point urgence de la place de la Chapelle (Paris 18),And many others... That's nearly 13 tons of donations redistributed for solidarity actions! 🌟 Every donation counts and makes a real difference! Thanks to the mobilization of our teams and partners, we strengthen the bonds of solidarity and provide essential support to those who need it most. 🙏 We thank you for your commitment and your difts, which help keep this solidarity alive! 🤝

We know it, climate disruption is here...! But fortunately, everyone can take action on their own scale! What can we do? For example, by keeping our objects, reusing them as much as possible, or donating them to associations! The aim? To consume less, or at least better.This is the goal Emmaüs Défi set itself on Saturday, October 5. The Zero Waste Paris and Bellastock associations were present in our ressourcerie to run awareness-raising workshops! ♻️ Zero Waste Paris had the opportunity to present solutions that everyone can grasp to adopt a more planet-friendly lifestyle. As for Bellastock, they led a workshop building chairs from scrap wood. 💪 Finally, an Emmaüs Défi technical supervisor offered an embroidery workshop to customers of our ressourcerie to personalize their purchases free of charge! At Emmaüs Défi, employees on integration and permanent employees work for a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly society! And none of this would be possible without the help of your difts, so thank you! 🌍✨ 

Dear difteurs, Emmaüs Campüs is Emmaüs Défi's program dedicated to combating precariousness among young people! Through our collection, sorting and resale of second-hand objects, our employees on integration schemes find their way back to a new, more stable life, while enabling our customers to clothe and equip themselves at affordable prices.  💪 In conjunction with educational establishments and other associations, we aim to mobilize young people in the fight against extreme precarity. And recently the team hasn't been idle! We've been visiting the sites of several universities to hold solidarity sales and raise awareness of second-hand issues. 🧑‍🎓 We also organized a solidarity distribution to unaccompanied minors at Césure in early October. We were able to donate 317 items of clothing to 58 young people in difficulty. ✊ And soon, we'll be raising awareness among Sciences Po students with a special sale for them!  🤝 

Once again, the management and support teams and the integration employees worked hand in hand! 🌟 This month, many employees on integration schemes took another step towards their socio-professional reintegration. 💪 Mariama, Sonia and Moussa have started training in catering, childcare and sales. If Moussa's training goes well, he will have a chance of being hired on a permanent contract! On the housing front, Fatou has moved into transitional housing and Habib and Fatoumata have obtained social housing. Finally, 5 employees have left us for new professional adventures. Abbitti joined an integration company as a sorting agent. Grace has joined Franprix as a self-service employee. Alhassane Keita has been recruited by Franprix as a department manager. Fardouza will start at Marguerite in early October as a logistics agent. Finally, Kaief has started at Naturalia as a sales assistant. 👏 All these successes are the fruit of the commitment of all our teams and insertion employees, but also, thanks to you! Your difts enable us to finance the support of each employee on integration, a big thank you to you for your help and commitment! 🎉 

Emmaüs Campüs, created by Emmaüs Défi in 2021, is a work integration project dedicated to young people experiencing exclusion. Emmaüs Campüs aims to mobilize young people in the fight against extreme precariousness. How? By offering complete commitment paths punctuated by internship, volunteer or civic service immersions, but also awareness-raising actions, or support in developing committed projects. 👊 This month, Emmaüs Campüs has invited itself onto the campuses of various universities to meet students and offer them essential items at low prices! Emmaüs Campüs visited the University of Paris 8 for the 9th edition of the Grand 8 Festival, where they were able to raise awareness of our actions in favor of students in precarious situations, and offer low-cost essential items to help them equip themselves. 🤝 Emmaüs Campüs also visited the campus of the Université de Cergy to offer an off-site sale to students. Nearly 120 students had the opportunity to discover our association, and equip themselves at low prices. 🙌 These events would not be possible without the hard work, motivation and commitment of our salaried employees, volunteers and the Campüs team.Thank you all! ✨ 

Geoffrey, the electro-bike technical supervisor, has a point! Working in our association means not only having varied and useful missions, but also living a rich and militant collective adventure! 🤝 It's a celebration of the departures of employees on integration programs towards professional training or interesting positions. 🎉 It's taking part in events organized by the Emmaus Movement, and meeting dozens of other groups to exchange on everyone's practices. It's collective activities, like the annual convivial day with permanent and integration employees, or being in the stands for the cecifoot semi-final during the Paris 2024 Games. ⚽ And above all, it means making your contribution tothe fight against extreme precarity !All this wouldn't be possible without your help, so we thank you for supporting our association which, thanks to your donations, is fighting a little more every day against this difficult situation ! Your help, and that of our partners, is essential to our development and the support of employees on integration. ✨ 

 Portrait of Yulia, a deaf and mute employee with so much to tell! A little over a year ago, Yulia had to leave Ukraine and her loved ones behind. After 10 months with a first company, she decided to join our team as a salesperson in our Emmaus Campüs ressourceries. Her smile and infectious energy make her a great colleague and advisor, even without the spoken word. With the help of her telephone and the support of her supervisor Martin, Yulia makes herself very well understood and is appreciated by all!  🤝 At Emmaüs Défi, we are convinced that language is never a barrier, and Yulia is proof of that!  🙌 Next step? The regularization of her status to offer her sustainable housing and training in her preferred sector: fashion and aesthetics!  💪 

The combined efforts of our integration employees and our supervisory and support teams have led to significant progress this summer! 🎉 In fact, 5 of our integration employees left Emmaüs Défi with a new professional project. Whether it was training, CDDI or CDD, Fatoumata, Isabelle, Mahdi, Djibril and Elena were able to seize the opportunities presented to them. Thanks to their hard work and determination, they are getting closer to their professional goals and continuing their path on the road to socio-professional reintegration. 💪 This good news doesn't come alone! Indeed, one of our employees, Riadh, has completed a PMSMP (Période de Mise en Situation en Milieu Professionnel) and 3 of our employees have been able to access social housing! 🏠 All these successes are possible thanks to the efforts of our teams and employees on integration schemes, but also thanks to you. Your donations enable us to improve our support so that each employee can find his or her place and vocation in society!🤝 

 We took advantage of our three-week closure to give our historic site a few refreshments!In fact, the elevator, as well as our main meeting room have been repainted, in order to work in color, joy and good humor. 🎨 Also, the checkouts at our Riquet ressourcerie have been enlarged and relocated. Thanks to this change, the customer experience is improved and our employees now work in an adapted and larger space, immersing them in conditions even closer to the classic professional world. 🤝 We would like to thank our partners for their support, without which these projects would not have been possible, and we would also like to thank you for your difts, which help us on a daily basis to improve the socio-professional support of employees on integration schemes, in particular, via the renovation of our premises! 🌟 

 In 2023, more than 580 people gave their time to Emmaüs Défi. Among them, individual volunteers, but also employees coming as part of a commitment day or responding to targeted skills sponsorship missions. Whether for toy sorting sessions in the run-up to Christmas, or during weekly sales, volunteers gave their strength and time to work for our social mission. 💪 Others have preferred to give of their technical skills, such as during our recruitment preparation day during which employees came to present their professions and coach our employees on integration for their future interviews. 🧠 In total, no less than 11,000 hours of commitment were donated to Emmaüs Défi in 2023. 11,000 hours spent working alongside our teams and employees on integration schemes. These are so many moments shared with the employees in integration, for whom volunteering gives the opportunity to open up to other horizons and to new encounters!  🤝 

 Every year, Emmaüs Défi organizes its Summer Day, a moment of cohesion between permanent employees and employees in integration! 🤝 This day is part of our association's social project and part of our approach to combating exclusion. People in precarious situations are kept away from access to art and culture for many reasons, including lack of information, self-censorship or the high price of cultural activities. However, we are convinced that art and culture can reinforce social integration for all, both inside and outside the worksite!  The program for this cultural and convivial day includes: - breakfast followed by sports and creative activities (dance, music, soccer, pétanque, glitter workshops...), - lunch on the grass, - then a choice of adventure: treasure hunt for the more adventurous or minigolf for the precision-minded. ⛳️ Despite the rain that came at the end of the day, nearly 300 permanent and integration employees got together in good spirits!  ☀️ 

 🌟 Since last September, Zamfira has been lighting up the textile sorting center at the Césure ressourcerie as an employee on a vocational integration program with Emmaüs Campüs. Recently, she was able to move into permanent accommodation. Zamfira is the embodiment of joie de vivre, the same one that drives us to roll up our sleeves every day! Because optimism and action are our driving forces, we're committed to restoring hope to those who need it most. 💪 At Emmaüs Campüs, we believe in a world of solidarity where everyone has a place, whatever their background. Like Zamfira and the hundreds of other employees we support, we accompany them on a daily basis in their desire to return to employment, access to healthcare and dignified housing, thanks to second-hand solidarity donations and purchases. 🙌♻️ 

This month, the enthusiasm of our insertion employees, as well as the involvement of our support teams, have led to great progress! 🤝 We were fortunate to see several of our integration employees go on training to discover a new professional environment and develop their skills. In total, 6 employees had the chance to train at different companies during the month of May. 🎉 If we are able to offer these professionalizing training courses to our employees and support them, it's thanks to you. 👫 In fact, we couldn't help our employees without the work of the support team that follows them from the moment they join our association. These hours of accompaniment and training are, in part, financed by the donations we receive. Your help enables us to achieve our day-to-day objective: to see our employees on integration leave for new horizons, in particular, in new companies with a CDD or CDI. This month, 3 employees succeeded in securing a work contract, which will enable them to make a lasting break from precariousness. 🌟 We would therefore like to thank you for your help and commitment, without which we would not be able to support our integration employees as effectively! 🌟 

In 2023, many of you have put your trust in us and played the circular economy game! 🌟 Whether it was to support the people in great precariousness whom we accompany on a daily basis, or for ecological convictions, it was nearly 948 tons of objects that we collected. 💪 Among these, 538 tonnes of objects were reused, 365 tonnes of which were donated to partner associations or recycled. ♻️ This representsthe saving of 140 round-trip Paris-New York flights! These results would not be possible without the work of our employees on integration schemes.In fact, they are the ones who collected, sorted and sold all these tons of items! The work they do, every day, on our integration site is accompanied by our help so that they can meet the many challenges they face. 🤝 Thanks to the donations we receive every day, we're able to support employees on integration schemes towards a new stage in their lives, far from precariousness. This involves promoting a return to employment to rebuild confidence and autonomy, but also, supporting them in their efforts to access healthcare and dignified housing to guarantee a decent life. 🏠 It's your donations that enable us to support employees on integration schemes on a daily basis, so thank you! 🎉 

When Emmaüs Défi was founded in 2007, one thing became clear to us: a conventional employment contract is not suitable for people living on the streets. 🤝 To address this issue Emmaüs Défi created the Premières Heures Scheme, a program that adapts work to the person and not the other way around. 🚛 Beneficiaries of this scheme are supervised by a specialized educator who supports them in their professional activities, such as sorting and collecting objects. The Premières Heures scheme enables people to reintegrate into the world of work little by little, thanks to a rhythm that adapts to the individual. The beneficiaries are also supported in several areas, notably administrative: applying for papers, opening a bank account and financial management.🏠The Premières Heures scheme also offers, to employees, support in accessing housing and learning French. The primary objective is to give beneficiaries all the keys they need to secure the next step in their career. 🎯The educator dedicated to this scheme has already supported 7 people, for almost 3,063 hours. All this work has boosted their self-confidence and prepared them for reintegration into society.  🙌 In 2023, a beneficiary joined our integration site as an employee, with a 26-hour contract. He now benefits from a supervisor and a Conseiller en Insertion Professionnelle (CIP). A success that testifies to the effectiveness of the Premières Heures scheme!

On the occasion of the International Day of the Family, which took place on May 15, we wanted to share with you a testimony from beneficiaries of the Banque Solidaire de l'Equipement. 👫 In 2008, the Bentahla family moved out of a social hotel into an 11m2. Lacking financial means, they couldn't rent any bigger. "Conditions were extreme, we lived next to bedbugs and cockroaches, the apartment was unsanitary." Mr Bentahla informed the press and took part in France 5's C dans l'air program to denounce the conditions in which his family lived. Requests for housing followed one another, but it was only after 6 years of persistence that they obtained a housing proposal. Within a week, they had moved in. 🏠 "Today, we live in an 85m2 with our two daughters and 11-month-old son. It's a revolution! Very quickly we had our appointment at the BSE which enabled us to furnish this large apartment which was completely empty. The most important thing was to have a mattress, the microwave and the table." Thanks to the Banque Solidaire de l'Equipement, the family was able to transform their apartment into a home where life was good, with their limited budget of 337€. "The children can invite their friends. Malek will soon be celebrating his birthday with his school friends. At Christmas, we invited our family for dinner, at home, around our table, it was wonderful." ✨ 

"Just having a salary changes everything. Now I can provide for my children". - NellyNelly is an Emmaüs Campüs employee working in the textile workshop. She is trained and supported by her technical supervisor and vocational integration advisor. The latter helps Nelly with administrative formalities and housing. 🏠 Thanks to her dynamism and professionalism, Nelly was able to take a training course in catering, giving her new professional experience and skills that will be very useful for the rest of her career. ✨"Nelly is a very strong-willed person, who gives herself the means to achieve her goals. I'm convinced that she'll get out of the job quickly". - Emma, technical supervisorToday, the supervisory team's mission is to find permanent accommodation for Nelly and her family. After that, the aim will be to find a stimulating job with good prospects. 🙌"Things are going well here, because when you work somewhere where the atmosphere isn't good, you lose heart and can't fit in. But here, it's like a family." - Nelly 

Emmaüs Campüs held a special sale at BHV Paris!   🌟  This sale was an opportunity for Emmaüs Campüs to reach out to a new clientele and enable employees on integration schemes to work in a new environment.This event also gave our employees the opportunity to work differently, in new premises and with a wider and more important public. It was an opportunity for them to professionalize themselves in a business context they were unfamiliar with.  🙌  The sale also enabled Emmaüs Campüs to reach a wider clientele and therefore to raise awareness among as many people as possible about our mission: to combat precariousness and widespread exclusion through work, particularly student precariousness, thanks to special sales for students and the professional reintegration of young workers.  🎓  Thanks to this sale, customers.e.s were able to make good bargains and also contributed to the life of Emmaüs Campüs thanks to the donations we were able to receive. In fact, all donations enable technical supervisors to support employees. We would like to thank the BHV for organizing this event with Emmaüs Campüs!  👏

Created in 2017 by Emmaüs Défi, L'Equipage is a work-integration company enabling employees to train in the transport and logistics professions.  🚛 With its fleet of 20m3 trucks and refrigerated vehicles, L'Equipage provides its customers with a delivery service throughout the Ile de France region.Its aim is to offer a highly professionalizing activity, in a buoyant economic sector, to encourage a return to employment. In addition to their training within l'Equipage, employees.e.s have access to PMSMP (période de mise en situation en milieu professionnel) carried out at partner companies.  🤝  🙌 What are their missions? At their warehouse in Rungis, a team of 21 employees supported on a daily basis by a management and support manager and a logistics operations manager work every day for various organizations.  Each year, l'Equipage is: 150 neighborhood solidarity collections on behalf of eco-organizations 300 pieces of furniture delivered for customers.e.s of our Riquet ressourcerie Storage and preparation and delivery of orders for beneficiaries of the Banque Solidaire de l'Equipement. 20 tons of unsold food donated and 140,000 meals distributed for the Baluchon solidarity caterer 

One year ago, our upcycling workshop, Les ReCréateurs, welcomed Khaibar as a seamstress.  🧵 Passionate and already experienced in sewing, Khaibar was able to benefit from the support and guidance of his technical supervisor and vocational integration advisor. In this way, he was able to overcome the many obstacles our employees face in finding a dignified place in society. To ensure Khaibar's integration, his advisor helped him take French courses, complete his administrative formalities and find permanent accommodation.  🧑‍🤝‍🧑 As for the ReCréateurs, they enabled her to deepen her skills and learn new sewing techniques. During her year at Emmaüs Défi, Khaibar had the opportunity to take part in significant projects such as La Semaine des Autres Modes, the Maison et Objet trade show and the fashion show at Galerie du 19M.  🌟 Today, Khaibar is integrating a prestigious qualifying training program as a couturier at the La Fabrique Nomade which works to enhance and promote the professional integration of migrant and refugee art craftspeople in France. Khaibar has had a rich year that has enabled him to rebuild his life and find this opportunity for the next stage of his professional career. Congratulations Khaibar!  👏 

Karima is proof that women can access any position, even in sectors still considered too masculine. 👊 When Karima was offered the chance to drive a collection truck for the first time by her technical supervisor, it was with a mixture of apprehension and curiosity that she accepted the challenge. But it was soon a revelation!" The support, guidance and confidence of the team at our Cap18 site helped her to take the plunge: "I learned with Emmaüs Campüs. The teams were very available and welcoming, which made it easier for me to learn."  🙌 Today, Karima proudly travels the roads of Paris behind the wheel of her truck to collect your donations! Her story is not an isolated one. Every year, we accompany women into professions that are sometimes predominantly male, such as materials handling and logistics. At a time when women account for just 20% of the workforce in these sectors, let's take inspiration from her journey and her determination. Let's encourage female vocations in sectors where they are underrepresented. 🙋

 Les RecRéateurs :  👗 The mission of Les ReCréateurs sewing workshop is to give a second life to textile scraps. Employees on work-integration schemes offer unique creations, fostering their imagination and self-esteem through the making of upcycling pieces. The Fashion Show:  ♻️ In early February, our employees on work-integration schemes had the opportunity to bring their creations to life by organizing an incredible fashion show, presenting Les ReCréateurs' first upcycled collection. Thanks to this ambitious project, guests were able to discover 28 unique creations, imagined and designed by Les ReCréateurs' employees from donated fabric scraps. This fashion show was also, and above all, an opportunity for our employees to tell the story of their journey to rebuild their lives following social exclusion. To achieve this, LesReCréateurs imagined a fashion show in three stages. While the show begins with very dark pieces, reflecting social and professional exclusion, lighter and lighter outfits make their appearance to, finally, give way to bright, vividly colored creations. Gradually, the outfits explode in a firework display of color, drawing women and men regaining confidence in their potential and in a more positive future. ✨  🙌 From shadow to light, their life's journey is sublimated by the talent and creativity of our couturier.es. A true ode to hope celebrating our first mission: to bring every employee.e.s in integration to reconcile with themselves and celebrate their progress, revealing their full potential. A big bravo to them for this immense achievement!  👏

With 2024 already well underway, we'd like to take a look back at our year 2023, which couldn't have been such a success without the support of our partners and the hard work of our teams. In 2023, 279 employeeson integration passed through our integration worksite (+13%).Training is a very important part of the reintegration of our employees.In 2023, 208 of them benefited from training (+49%).Finally, we saw 46% of our employees leave us for sustainable employment (CDD or CDI), an entrepreneurial project or retirement (+84%). Behind these figures are women and men who have been able to reconcile with themselves and regain confidence in themselves and their professional abilities. They can now look forward to a positive future, full of new opportunities. We owe this success to our teams, who work with our employees on a daily basis to ensure their professionalization and professional and/or social reintegration.  As the Fondation Abbé Pierre unveiled its 29th report on the state of inadequate housing in France, announcing that 300,000 people would be homeless by 2023 and that there were 4 million inadequately housed people, Emmaüs Défi and the other Ile-de-France Emmaüs structures marched this Thursday, February 1, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Abbé Pierre's call for solidarity. 🧤 In collaboration with Label Emmaüs, Parisian Emmaüs are calling for solidarity to help those on the streets! From February 1 to 10, we're organizing a collection to donate warm equipment (blankets, comforters, warm clothes, ...) which will then be redistributed to the homeless during marauding events. We can all do our bit to bring a little human warmth and mutual aid to those suffering from extreme hardship. Every act counts: solidarity is a real collective force! Together, let's awaken our power to act! 🎙️ "You who are suffering, whoever you are, come in, sleep, eat, regain hope, here we love you."  

Emmaüs Campus, created by Emmaüs Défi in 2021, is a work integration site dedicated to young people experiencing exclusion. A youth strategy has been put in place, in particular to encourage the immersion of students in our work integration site and to promote exchanges between them and our work integration employees.To this end, Emmaüs Campus has set up partnerships with several schools, enabling Emmaüs Campus to host around 30 students on work placements by June 2024. During their work placements, students will have the opportunity to take part in the worksite's missions, in particular the collection, sorting and sale of donations. Thanks to this immersion, students will be able to discover the associative world, in particular workcamps, awaken their commitment and become aware of the issues of extreme precariousness. A great opportunity to become an actor of change and of one's professional and personal career path!

The mission of the Les ReCréateurs sewing workshop is to give a second life to textile scraps and clothing that cannot be resold. Employees on integration schemes offer unique creations, fostering their imagination and self-esteem through the making of unique, useful and aesthetically pleasing products. ReCréateurs' products can be ordered by professionals or are original creations sold in our ressourceries. The Maison et Objet show: The Maison et Objet show and the ReCréateurs have joined forces in an innovative, artistic and committed creative project!  Thanks to this project, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Alice in Wonderland! Using light effects and unique creations, the ReCréateurs have succeeded in creating a fantastic space between dream and reality, inspired by the world of Tim Burton. During this event, the ReCréateurs and the furniture workshop created a rest area entirely fitted out with upcycled furniture salvaged from the previous edition of the show.  This space was imagined around the world of Alice in Wonderland to illustrate the parallel between the rebuilding of employees in integration thanks to the integration worksite after having experienced great precariousness and the rebuilding of Alice in this marvelous country after the death of her father. This project is a perfect illustration of the ReCréateurs' objective of recycling objects and creating new things. Once again, our employees have imagined and produced exceptional creations. Well done to them!

A look back at our traditional Super Christmas which took place on Saturday, December 02 in our stores at Riquet and CentQuatre. 📅 On the program we had: The Monty Pistons brass band; Distributions of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate;Distributions of pastries, chocolates and confectionery;Two board game stands hosted by volunteers from Espace 19 ;A photo booth ;And toys by the thousands!🤝 To make the magic of Christmas happen, a hundred volunteers were mobilized alongside our employees to make this day a moment of sharing and solidarity. A big thank you to them! 🙏 We'd also like to thank our partners, who have mobilized over the last few weeks, whether through volunteer hours sorting, labeling and putting donations in stores, or through the organization of collections of new and second-hand toys and games. 🎁 Thanks to your commitment, we were able to collect 50 pallets of new toys and 4.5 tons of second-hand toys. As a result, over 5,000 families were able to benefit from quality toys at very affordable prices. Thank you once again for your support, and we look forward to seeing you next year for a new, even more supportive edition! 

Born in 2021, the Emmaüs Défi project continues to grow with the opening of a new boutique on September 27 in the Césure third-place. After 2 years of existence, the projectEmmaüs Campüs opens its 3rd boutique on September 27!The projectSupported by Plateau Urbain in partnership with Yes We Camp, the former Sorbonne-Nouvelle Censier campus becomes Césure. This tiers-lieu focuses on the transmission of knowledge and know-how, pending its rehabilitation by EPAURIF.Emmaüs Campüs will share the space of the university's former small library with Yes We Camp. The association will run a cantine engagé offering mainly local products. The store occupies a 380m² space. It serves as asolidarity boutique, donation collection point and sorting center. Personalized supportThe opening of this new boutique will welcome 20 new employees.e.s en parcours d'insertion. The employees are in charge of receiving donations in the boutique, sorting these donations, stocking shelves, advising and cashing customers. Everyone receives support in the areas of housing, health, training and employment. Ultimately, the aim is to stabilize their life paths for the future.What can you find there?Everyone can find clothes and accessories, crockery, knick-knacks, books, toys and small electronics. The boutique also offers continuous promotions for under-30s and students. In fact, this is the basis of the Emmaüs Campüs project: responding to the challenges of precariousness among young people.Place for student lifeThis space shared with the Yes We Camp canteen is intended to become a real place to live. Our aim is to grow the project with and for students. Ultimately, the aim is to respond together to the problem of student precariousness. To this end, we have already set up a number of partnerships with various student-related associations, such as Délivr'Aide and Cop1. We want to go even further with this new space.The former Sorbonne Nouvelle University campus is still home to over 2,000 students on a daily basis. This makes it the perfect place to go and meet them and mobilize them around our issues.The store is open Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 7pm.Come and browse or drop off your donations!

On December 2, Emmaüs Défi is organizing its Super Christmas. As it does every year, Emmaüs Défi is committed to offering a hybrid (new/used) range of games and toys in its various ressourceries, so that our customers can benefit from a variety of good-quality products.To make the magic of Christmas happen again this year, Emmaüs Défi is calling on its partners to donate new items or organize collections of second-hand toys. This special sale is a flagship event for the association, and its purpose is to offer games and toys at low prices to low-income families, and to bring our social mission to life.  If you are interested in this scheme, please do not hesitate to contact Hugo Lépée ([email protected]), our partnership and development manager.
