Thanks to your generosity, the Spanish Red Cross was able to provide essential aid to the victims of storm DANA, which hit southeastern Spain, including Valencia, Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia.
Your contributions have enabled:
assist more than 260,000 people affected by the floods;
open 17 shelters, offering shelter to around 4,200 people and psychosocial support to others;
distribute more than 144,000 meals, 4,300 blankets and 38,000 hygiene kits, as well as setting up 30 water distribution points ;
mobilize more than 7,399 volunteers and employees divided into 210 teams to manage relief operations;
install a temporary water treatment plant in Paiporta, purifying 225,000 liters of water a day, providing drinking water for 15,000 people.
These actions have been made possible thanks to your invaluable support. The Spanish Red Cross continues to work tirelessly to rehabilitate and rebuild the affected areas.
