In March, let's celebrate women! đź’ś

Cher-e Difters,

As you know, every year LP4Y accompanies around 1,500 Young people aged⸱es 18 to 24, in 14 countries, 80% of whom are women: important to mark the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, which took place on March 8! 💜

Find on our various social networks testimonials from young women accompanied by LP4Y published throughout the #WomenRightsMonth.
The aim? To highlight the strength, resilience, and achievements of these women full of potential. ✨

The LP4Y teams also organized women's rights awareness modules at the centers in the various countriess, such as the presentation of famous and iconic women for the Green Village Youth in the Philippines and a visit to an exhibition on the women of urban India for the Delhi center in India.
These testimonials and activities are possible thanks to the commitment of our teams, but also to the support of our donors. Many thanks for your commitment to LP4Y and these young women!

Together, facing the climate emergency! 🚨 update

Together, facing the climate emergency! 🚨

Dear difters,
For months now, global warming-related events have been more severe than ever. The Centers have been hit by extreme conditions: heatwave in New Delhi, rising waters in Jakarta, cyclones in the Philippines and Bangladesh...
Last month, a terrible fire also hit Tondo, in the Philippines, where LP4Y has been working for 14 years. Buildings were destroyed and thousands of families lost everything, including over 100 accompanied Young people.

Then, Nepal was hit by the worst landslides and floods in 50 years... causing major damage to the Green Village-training center- and forcing 40 young people to be evacuated. Teams on site are deeply affected but are working without respite on solutions to resume support and repair the damage.

Young people and LP4Y teams have more than ever put forward their greatest strength: resilience and adaptation. They knew how to face these dangers, implement emergency and safety actions and solutions. A BIG BRAVO TO THEM.
The commitment of our teams, donors and partners proves that, together, we can overcome any difficulties. A big thank you for your support!

Young people are rock stars! update

Young people are rock stars!

Since the beginning of 2024, Life Project 4 Youth has already accompanied more than 400 Young People (80% of whom are women) in all centers in Asia and the Middle East!

In Myanmar, one of them is causing a sensation: May Soe Yu Wah completed the LP4Y program in July 2023. She was then employed by MyWorld Agency, one of our partners in Myanmar, as Sales Support in Yangon. We heard from her employer, Simon Bruce, the Country Director - Southeast Asia:

"I would like to report that we have been very happy with the 3 staff we hired through LP4Y, and in particular, May Soe Yu Wah is an absolute rockstar and we are developing her to move into a more senior role in sales soon."
