Solution
In response to the collapse of biodiversity and climate change, the "Semeurs de Forêts" association acquires land all over France from one to several hectares with the aim of restoring and renaturating it into "oases for biodiversity".
In parallel, it seeks to re-establish the link between Man and his environment through citizen multi-essence plantations. In this way, we get volunteer people to plant trees of indigenous origin, to better understand the environmental issues, to care for them and to watch over these spaces which are then left to evolve freely.
We work on the restoration and preservation of natural forests, but not only, as we also protect wetlands with very few trees planted (mainly hedges to preserve space).
The particularity of the "Semeurs de Forêts" association compared with other existing solutions is that it acquires land in rural areas in its own name.
The purchase provides a major advantage: the certainty of being able to plan for the long term to make these spaces sanctuaries. Because beyond just planting a tree, we're looking to create a framework to help emerge a complex ecosystem that takes dozens, even hundreds of years to build up and balance. Time and a long-term vision are indispensable in all projects. We include ourselves in the time of trees and regeneration.
Since 2019, we have already completed 7 projects, enabling the sanctuarization of nearly 30 hectares over 6 départements, the planting of over 7200 trees and shrubs and more than 320 volunteer planters have gone into action on:
. Juvignies (Oise): 1.4 hectares
. Jaunay-Marigny (Vienne): 5.5 hectares
. Clessé (Deux-Sèvres) : 6.6 hectares
. Château-sur-Epte (Eure) : 1.9 hectares
. Abzac (Charente Limousine) : 8 hectares
. Louroux-Béconnais (Maine-et-Loire) : 5.3 hectares
. Monneville (Oise) : 1.2 hectares
We are currently looking for 3 to 4 new and larger plots for 2025. In March 2025, a plot of almost 16 hectares on the banks of the Loire is being purchased.

Why we love it?
Semeurs de Forêts seeks to recreate oases of biodiversity untouched by human activity. Faced with the collapse of biodiversity, it's vital to keep forested areas, and not monocultures, but a multitude of species!
Together, let's give nature an eternal refuge where biodiversity can flourish in complete freedom.
