Start of reef restoration in Kenya
Dear donors,
In Kenya, coral reef restoration activities have begun!"
In October, a first group of 10 local community members was trained and began coral reef restoration, supervised by the local project team.
These fishermen are learning how to care for their ecosystem effectively.
54 artificial reefs have already been built and implanted on one of the 3 restoration zones opened up by the project.
They will also be trained to scientifically monitor the corals, measure their growth and spot signs of bleaching.
The common goal? Restore fisheries through coral restoration, raise awareness in local communities and develop easily replicable techniques for coral restoration.
A big thank you to you for your invaluable support and donations!
Indonesia: Raising awareness among the younger generation
Reaching out to the younger generation is at the heart of every project we support. Last month, this aspect was particularly in the spotlight in our project in Indonesia
In Indonesia, the local team welcomed a group of children from a nearby elementary school to discover the coral restoration activities carried out in the field. An opportunity for these children to explore the coral reef with a mask and snorkel, to understand that the reef is a veritable underwater city, and to learn more about the marine species that inhabit it.
An outing that may well inspire a new generation of conservationists!
The money will be used for
- Support field projects that regenerate degraded ecosystems
- Enable the return of biodiversity to reefs
- Support the livelihoods of reef-dependent communities
- Raise awareness among the general public about saving our oceans
- Launch + 80 initiatives around the world in setting up field projects, on every coast on every continent!

Why we love it?
It's not just on the other side of the world that Coral Guardian is active, but also on the coasts of the Mediterranean: and yes, protecting marine fauna is also a European issue! Coral Guardian tackles this challenge with great creativity and professionalism, and we love their dynamic team and innovative communication.
It's very gratifying to see an area restored, after seeing it with broken corals almost dead and lots of accumulated garbage, and once you've cleaned it, the feeling is indescribable. Life returns.
