Training school dropouts in green jobs

There's a moment when the project becomes real 🌱 For the 9 ETRE schools currently in incubation, this moment is called test training. A few days or weeks to experiment, concretely, with the ETRE model with young people and local partners. This is when the pedagogy comes to life, the partners get involved, the team finds its posture, adjusts, learns... A big well done to the teams at the upcoming ETRE schools Hauts-de-Seine (PikPik Environnement), Ardèche (Terre & Humanisme), Calvados (Ovéa Formation - Association Objectif Emploi), Marne (L'école des jardiniers), Drôme (Le Carrefour des Habitants du Nyonsais), Charente (La bouineuse - Fabrique d'avenir), Dordogne (LES BUTINEURS DU BONHEUR), Guadeloupe (ASSOCIATION CKB) and Seine-Maritime (MISSION LOCALE AGGLOMERATION ROUENNAISE) who have just passed this important milestone 👏 We can't wait to follow their adventures!!

At the end of incubation 2024-2025, 6 new schools officially join the national ETRE network: 💚 ETRE Nièvre 💚 ETRE Rhône 💚 ETRE Loir-et-Cher 💚 ETRE Moselle 💚 ETRE Tarn-et-Garonne 💚 ETRE Maralpine Welcome to their amazing teams! During 9 months of support, these project leaders shared their progress, doubts and successes, benefiting from the support of the ETRE Network, dedicated tools, and close accompaniment by the incubator team. In a difficult context for associations and the SSE, this collective dynamic proves the strength of the ETRE project: a network of structures rooted in their territories, supportive, committed and resolutely forward-looking. 🌍 🗓️ The adventure came to a close in Lahage, birthplace of the first ETRE school (and celebrating its 8th anniversary this year), during a closing ceremony of assessments, workshops and celebrations 🥳 And the next generation is already here: 9 new school projects are being supported until 2026! In early September, at the ETRE school in Lahage - the Network's pilot school - we had the pleasure of kicking off the incubation program with the 10 2025 prizewinners 🌱 👉 For two days, these project leaders from all over France: ✨ Discovered the program that will support them for 9 months, ✨ Began to work with the ETRE school, which is the only school in France to offer this program.euses de projets venus de toute la France ont: ✨ Découvert le programme qui leur accompagnera pendant 9 mois, ✨ Commencé à se projeter dans l'école ETRE qu'ils vont développer sur leur territoire, ✨ Partagés leurs parcours et leurs envies, ✨ Et surtout... fait collectif! The diversity of this promotion - in terms of histories, structures, sizes, activities - enriched every exchange. Thanks to your support, we're delighted to share with you the progress of our ETRE school incubation program! As the incubatees from the class of 2023/2024 complete their journey, applications for the new incubation session keep coming in. This year, we received no fewer than 25 applications from organizations wishing to set up an ETRE school in their area! 🥳 As we speak, our team is reviewing each application with the utmost care. In this first phase, we will be examining the written applications. For the selected project leaders, interviews will be offered between June 3 and 12 with our ETRE team. The winners of this incubation promotion will then be announced on June 18 and 19. [20 Ecoles ETRE] 💚 📢 ETRE Tarn is the 20th ETRE school! 📢 It is with immense joy that we announce that the 20th ETRE School has opened in the Tarn region (81) in Gaillac, at the end of 2023!!! 🥳 🔎 But what are we doing in this new ETRE School? 👉 We discover several Ecological Transition professions 👉 We practice and train in sustainable food skills, agro-ecology, market gardening, eco-landscaping, eco-construction and sustainable energies 🗓️ What's on the 2024 program? ✅ 3 Remobilisations ✅ 1 Pre-qualification A big congratulations to the ETRE Tarn team for this new School joining the ETRE Schools Network! The national meeting of ETRE schools is 100% renewable fuel to build on all year round! For 3 days, all the schools involved in the ecological transition gathered at ETRE Montarnaud (Montpellier) for the September national meeting. An unmissable highlight for the 20 active schools with so much to share! Between exchanges of practices, strategic topics and informal times, the 3 days were intense and exciting. 🌟 💚 A real burst of energy to support as best we can the young people we then meet in our structures.

The month of June was an opportunity to talk circular economy professions, waste management and recycling issues, consumption patterns and eco-design with our trainees from the ETRE en Ségala school. So many notions and values that they put into practice through an artistic project, in aid of a Third-Place, made from 100% recycled materials, from the wood right down to the nails! Through this project, which ran throughout the month of June, the youngsters discovered carpentry by making outdoor benches, metalwork from bending to welding by making a metal arbour structure, and the patience and creativity required for woodcarving by creating totem animals that echo the natural identity of the Tiers-Lieux. This transition from theoretical issues to practical experimentation is the key to the ETRE schools' pedagogy. Enabling experimentation through the senses that restores a taste for learning, and developing technical skills that foster self-confidence.

Thanks to Your support, ETRE en Ségala was able to set up 2 weeks of training in February dedicated to the themes of sustainable agriculture. 5 days of training were dedicated to visits to structures: GAEC, a company making organic cookies, discovering training in agricultural high schools, making bread with peasant bakers. And, 5 days dedicated to workcamps at the ETRE school in Aveyron to discover teamwork, learn about wood construction through compost bins and growing bins, discover playful workshops ("What is organic", "debate between low-tech and high-tech agriculture"), ... Combining contact with the local professional fabric and training activities designed for our public with fragile career paths, this is our recipe for awakening sensibilities, making people think and building accurate representations of professions. 2 great weeks with 7 young participants who proved to be enthusiastic.

Autumn 2022 was an opportunity for us to validate our pre-qualification training in the trades of the Ecological Transition. With a pilot group of 8 young people, boys and girls, we spent 3 months exploring the trades of eco-construction and maintenance of green spaces through various workcamps. Thanks to your support, we are now in a position to fully deploy the ETRE en Ségala school project, with 5 training courses (lasting 2 weeks or 3 months) spread throughout 2023!
