Clowns for hospitalized children

Miss Mi thanks you update

Miss Mi thanks you

Hello to you dear Captain,
We spotted Miss Mi in the corridors of the pediatric area. She put on her pretty bow tie for the start of the new school year. She asked me to tell you that she's had a great summer wandering between the children's hospital, Haut-Lévêque, the CH de Libourne and the various EHPADs.
A big thank you for your invaluable support!

A thousand mercis update

A thousand mercis

We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the great Captain Cause team for their unfailing support throughout this year 2023.
Thanks to the 271 captains, our association raised 15,797 euros; which enabled a duo of professional clowns to carry out their interventions for 8 months in one of the pediatric wards of the Children's Hospital - CHU de Bordeaux.
The lasting nature of the donations from our partners and friends of the association means we can look to the future and the funding of clown interventions with much greater serenity.
Many thanks again.

Bertille Palace & Biglotron - Libourne Hospital paediatric ward update

Bertille Palace & Biglotron - Libourne Hospital paediatric ward

This morning in front of the Hôpital Robert Boulin from Libourne, Bertille Palace met his distant cousin Biglotron! Together, they made the birds laugh and the bees sing. The clouds parted and the sun shone brightly. The squirrels danced, and our two clowns added new colors to the rainbow as the children looked on in wonder.

WooohhhoooOooo!!!! Laughing birds!!!
Disease doesn't take vacations, and neither do Clown Stethoscopes!
Help us perpetuate our interventions at CHU de Bordeaux and at the Hôpital Robert Boulin from Libourne during the summer.

Panoli & Bitonio at Bordeaux University Hospital - pediatric oncology department update

Panoli & Bitonio at Bordeaux University Hospital - pediatric oncology department

On April 18, Panoli and Bitonio were at the Chu De Bordeaux in 6eD, they had the chance to meet a world specialist: Valentine. In no time at all, they introduced her to their new language: Bitonio ends his words with "ouille" and Panoli with "ail".
After a fair amount of muddle, mayhem, gates, feet in ratatouille and bidouilles, Bitonouille and Panolaïl were forced to perform many push-ups, sit-ups, big splits and little entrechats, to prove to Valentine that they were barely more muscular than noodles.
Morality: if you act like a noodle, Valentine will put you to work
Thanks to all our Captains for enabling us to continue bringing smiles to the faces of children at Bordeaux University Hospital every week! ❤️

More than 4,000 children & families were able to laugh thanks to you in 2022! update

More than 4,000 children & families were able to laugh thanks to you in 2022!

We would like to express our most sincere thanks for the trust you have placed in us.
That's over 4000 children and their families we have met in 2022, being present every week in the wards of Bordeaux University Hospital - Children's Hospital, in Haut Lévêque and, since June 2, 2021, in pediatrics at Libourne University Hospital. Your support is essential, as it enables us to be present every week with hospitalized children and their loved ones, to offer them the chance to play, laugh, dream... and forget the illness, if only for a moment!
LE CONSTATTE
In France, almost one child in two is hospitalized before the age of 15. For children and their families, hospitalization is a delicate time that can be a source of waiting, isolation and sometimes distress. A stay in hospital generates many ruptures with outside life and familiar landmarks: school, siblings, parental relationships (relationships change in hospital), the body (which can change in certain illnesses), rhythms of life.
OUR ACTION CONCRETELY

Spontaneous, always in the present moment, clowns offer unique and personalized artistic interventions. They always improvise as a duo, adapting to each situation, context and the singularities of the people they meet.
For children: they give children the opportunity to rediscover their power as actors, as creators of play, the part of themselves where they can recharge their batteries; they contribute to recreating a link with the outside world and, in fine, to the quality of their subsequent healing and blossoming.
For loved ones: the interventions help to create a bond outside the hospital context.
For caregivers: the presence of clowns represents a professional accompaniment during care, for example, but also joyful, offbeat moments when the clown can be a decompression fuse.
For residents: the clowns' visits help break social isolation or that caused by illness.
For caregivers: we pass on our relational and non-verbal communication tools to help them invent a new, playful relationship with their loved one, as a complement to the care relationship.
In 2023, Les Clowns Stéthoscopes will expand their activities with a new collaboration with the HAD (Hospitalisation à domicile) service at Bagatelle Hospital in Talence.

Align customer loyalty and solidarity.
Let's start!
