The project
ChildhoodEducation
Mentoring is when a student volunteer accompanies a young person from a working-class neighborhood. For 2 hours a week over the course of a school year, they share tutoring, outings and, above all, a human bond that makes all the difference. Free and supportive, this program is aimed at young people identified by teachers, for whom this support can make all the difference. Together, they explore new horizons, build self-confidence and create lasting memories.

Solution
Each student volunteer can organize outings with their mentee (museum, cinema, sport or creative workshop) to discover other places, get out of the neighborhood, develop autonomy, mobility, curiosity, stimulate creativity and self-confidence. Mentoring goes beyond academic support:it opens up new horizons and creates unique momentsof discovery and personal fulfillment.
Use of the money
Your donation will fund pair outings: museum trips, cinema screenings, sports sessions, creative workshops...offering young mentees the chance to leave their neighborhoods, discover new horizons and develop mobility and independence. These unique moments will be much more than an activity: they'll be a gateway to the world, a shared experience that will create precious memories and a lasting human bond between mentor and mentee.

With Arthana, during our mentoring sessions, we can go to the library, the cinema, the museum... lots of possibilities! We both love art history, and she loves it when I teach her new things. Mentoring goes way beyond tutoring.
