The Lazare association is present in 14 cities in France and is currently fitting out more than 70 new rooms in Clermont-Ferrand, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Lille, so that homeless people can not only find a roof over their heads, but also the friendship they need to rebuild their lives!

Solution

These four new houses will accommodate nearly 70 additional Lazare colocs by 2026!

A typical Lazare house consists of an apartment for 6 to 10 women and an apartment for 6 to 10 men, each accommodating half of the housemates who have experienced hardship and half of the young pros.

When possible, one or more "studios d'envol" are also set up in the house for housemates who wish to acquire a little more autonomy, while continuing to benefit from the association's support services.

The association finances the work involved in opening the colocations entirely through donations private. Once the homes are open, rents self-finance 60% of the association's operations.
