Raising students' awareness of ecological issues

We're continuing our operations in the field and in the classroom!

Our association continues its work to clean up natural and urban spaces. Recently, we went next to the Church of Saint Jean Bosco. Results: 1,242 kg of garbage collected! Since the beginning of the year, we've organized over 200 clean-up operations bringing together ever more committed and willing volunteers.

In terms of awareness-raising, we continue to visit all local schools to talk to young people about the harmful effects of waste and human activity on the environment. Of course, we also give them the means to take action, at their own level, so that they become true citizens who are aware of and respect nature. Since the beginning of the year, we've been involved in 173 classes, raising awareness among 5,445 pupils!

Here are the figures for our operation to date:

- 4,859 students made aware since the beginning of the year!

- 75 workshops raising awareness!

We're continuing our awareness-raising workshops in all the City's schools! The kids are amazing and have lots of ideas for protecting our beautiful environment. We're continuing to protect the future with them!

Between September 2024 and June 2025, a total of +6,500 young people have been educated in schools, from kindergarten to university!

🌿 A magnificent day of pollution clean-up this Sunday, May 11 on the Corniche Piétonne!

Under a radiant sky and in a convivial atmosphere, we gathered around a common goal: to protect our coastline. Thanks to the mobilization of our volunteers, 10 kg of waste were collected!

But that's not all: beyond the action on the ground, this day enabled us to raise the awareness of several hundred people to the issues of pollution, preservation and marine biodiversity.

Dear donors,

Thanks to your donations, on Wednesday, February 19, 40 American students raised awareness and participated in a cleanup of the Maronaise River!

A total of 127kg of waste was collected and sorted at the end of this beautiful day.

Our volunteers run workshops in schools every day of the week!

In 2024 alone, over 5,500 young people have been educated in the classroom.

On December 17, 2023 we held our special edition Christmas Market for the 3rd year running, to which our long-standing partners were invited! An opportunity to treat our volunteers to local zero-waste products while taking part in a pollution clean-up. +350 people took part and 348kg of waste was collected!

This week, over 50 volunteers received their equipment (bags & gloves) and training to join their Neighborhood Green Brigade!
The goal? Empower citizens to clean up their streets by involving residents and shopkeepers from the same neighborhood in the fight for cleanliness. How do we do it? Through easy-to-access WhatsApp groups and snacks/gifts from local merchants to thank them for their gesture. 

At the end of each workshop we ask this question to the young people involved.
Their answers: 
- Put in more bins
- Reduce our consumption 
- Participate in waste collections
- Use water bottles instead of plastic bottles

Last week at a middle school in Saint-Just (13013), over 100 students took up the lyrics of our parody song from "Bande Organisée" transformed into "Cleaner Organisé" to raise awareness of ecology.
