The project

Every year, 100,000 people are released from prison in France, 80% of whom receive no support, leading to a high recidivism rate: 59% of them are re-convicted within five years of their release, and 33% within one year. WKF provides a framework for rebuilding one’s life after prison and helps people take the necessary steps toward reintegration. The goal is to restore their confidence in themselves and in society and to re-engage them by helping them develop a career plan.

Use of the money
Donations will be used to fund:
- individual support with administrative procedures, housing, and accessing rights,
- group workshops focused on employment in the morning and personal recovery in the afternoon,
- lunch prepared and shared with other Wakeurs, the staff, and volunteers.
