The photo above was taken by my partner, Martin, on the forecourt of the Gare du Nord, during our Tuesday evening street tour. Kevin (first name changed) was waiting for us: He had some good news, which he wanted to share with us: he'd managed to talk to his son. The unconditional and faithful encounter with people living on the streets is a unique and enriching moment of sharing. It has transformed me over the last 18 months. Meeting and creating a bond by reaching out to those on the margins of society: homeless people and those in prostitution situations, with bare hands and an open heart. We build a relationship of trust, which is essential if we are to accompany them on their path to liberation. Our actions: street outreach, drop-in centers, health, spiritual, psychological and social support, revitalization programs and breakaway stays, solidarity roommates, pre-integration workcamps.

What will your donations be used for?

Thanks to your donation, we can organize "maraudes" to meet street people. We can also have employees to provide them with overall support in their daily lives (health, social, accommodation...). We also develop innovative projects to meet their needs as effectively as possible (reducing alcohol-related risks, helping people leave prostitution, etc.). Thanks to you, we have the means to help the most disadvantaged find paths to liberation.

On the street, there are homeless people, prostitutes. Alone. Ignored and waiting. They are captives. Of misery. Of life's wounds. We too are captives. Of our history. Of our preconceptions. Reaching out to people on the streets, with bare hands and an open heart, is living fraternity. It's telling the world that our dignity can stand up to hardship and breakdown. It's believing that, on the streets, encounters are life.
