Following Lyon's success, the "Maisons de la Diversité" initiative continues
Les Audacieuses & les Audacieux
Less than a year after it opened, France’s first Maison de la Diversité, located in the heart of Lyon’s Croix-Rousse neighborhood, is still fully occupied. All 15 spots are filled, and a waiting list is gradually forming, confirming the growing interest in this model of inclusive and participatory housing.
This momentum illustrates a strong need: to provide living spaces where seniors can grow old together in a supportive environment that respects their life experiences and is open to all forms of diversity, particularly LGBTI+ individuals and people living with HIV.
The success of the Maison de Lyon confirms the relevance of this pioneering project and strengthens our commitment to expanding it to other locations.
With this in mind, the Maison de la Diversité project in Strasbourg is taking shape. Discussions are actively underway with local partners to eventually open a new shared living space, faithful to the values of inclusion and solidarity championed by the association.
Furthermore, this exceptional human journey is now the subject of a documentary film. After five years of filming, directors Clément Boxebeld and Julia Mourri present Les Audacieux·ses. The film follows the residents of the Maison de Lyon, from the project’s inception to their move-in, through the doubts and triumphs of daily life.
You can watch the film on France TV
Now more than ever, the growth of the Maisons de la Diversité depends on your support to help other projects come to life.
Fieldwork, figures and great encounters!
Ma Petite Planète
Hello, difters!
The March edition has borne fruit once again: this one brought together more than 86,000 students around more than 1 million challenges taken. All the more reason to confirm that the enthusiasm is there, and that the adventure is still going strong!
The summary video is on THIS LINK!
Tour de France in Lyon: Léna and Marion are a hit!
At the TDF de Lyon, Léna and Marion brought the energy of the field to 387 students and teachers, in 5 schools, before extending the exchanges at an afterwork gathering over 30 people. A great way to meet educational teams and bring the project to life as close as possible to the territories.
Hush... a sprouting surprise
And that's not all! we're preparing our November edition , there will be new challenges and maybe even a surprise! Stay tuned, the rest looks promising!
Follow us on social networks so you don't miss a thing! We'll reveal everything on June 24.
Be well until the next newsletter,

Guinea: an innovative partnership to rebuild lives after sexual violence
Entrepreneurs du Monde
In Guinea, the reconstruction of survivors of conflict-related sexual violence is not limited to judicial recognition. It also requires economic autonomy and the ability to project themselves.
In September 2009, in Conakry, a peaceful demonstration was brutally repressed by security forces. Many women were subjected to extremely serious sexual violence. These acts had serious repercussions: social stigmatization, loss of income, isolation.
The Global Survivors Fund (GSF), founded by Dr Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad, has launched its first interim restorative measures pilot project in Guinea, built with 158 survivors.
Wakili, a social microfinance institution created by Entrepreneurs du Monde, played a key role. It has built a personalized support system to strengthen the survivors' power to act.
By opening personal accounts for each survivor, Wakili first guaranteed the security of compensation payments, protecting them from social and family pressures. It then deployed a tailor-made financial education program: budget management, savings, investment in income-generating activities.
This support has enabled the women to (re)start a business and sustainably improve their living conditions. The results are tangible: renewed confidence, rebuilding family ties, reintegration into the community. To this day, Wakili continues to support numerous participants.
This model is now fuelling advocacy for a national policy and paving the way for a replicable approach in other contexts.
General Meeting 2026 in sunny Marseilles!
AREMACS
As usual, our association holds its annual general meeting in April in one of its 5 branches. This year, it was the turn of our antenne Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, and we were lucky enough to be hosted by the family of Léo, former employee of the antenna and now a seasoned volunteer.
For this weekend of reunion around the presentation of the results of the year 2025, we applied the advice we give to structures organizing events to reduce their negative impacts. On this General Assembly 2026, we notably implemented:
● dry toilets and solar showers
● collective transport by train or carpooling
● vegan lunch and dinner
● a partnership with a local brewery
● the use of reusable containers and crockery
● participative cleaning, tidying and crockery
● waste sorting into three streams: household waste, recyclables and compost
● the reuse of scenography and animation tools
● the sharing of equipment between the different antennas
A big thank you to the Aremacs PACA team, employees and volunteers for the organization; Leo and his family for their welcome; the employees and volunteers of the other antennas for their involvement and hard work all year round.
And thank you to all of you who support us in our mission!
Restored reefs, committed communities: a look back at our mission in Kenya
Coral Guardian
Dear donors,
This month, part of our Coral Guardian team spent two weeks in Kenya, carrying out an audit of the project and being at the heart of our action.
On the program: meetings with trainees, work with our partner Oceans Alive, coral transplantation, scientific monitoring, awareness-raising in schools, and exchanges with key restoration players in the region.
The coral structures already restored are showing very encouraging results, with corals in good condition and harboring a biodiversity that is already well established, healthy and dynamic. Coral transplant operations have been carried out on the Shimo La Pili and Madowani sites, with all trainees cleaning the coral structures, caring for the corals in the nurseries and transplanting the corals. In total, since the project began in 2024, 3,814 corals have been transplanted, representing 47 ha of marine protected area, and 22 nurseries have been set up. These are also 20 trainees who have been trained over the long term to become ambassadors for coral restoration in their communities.
👉 Beyond reefs, this project creates sustainable opportunities.
Thank you for making this possible 💙
